M3 eTicket is a super slim rugged PDA designed for payment transactions and validations. With its ruggedness and many integration options the M3 eTicket is the perfect handheld for Automatic Fare Collection systems within public transport.

The rugged design and the IP64-rating ensure protection against dust, moisture and extreme temperatures, from freezy - 20C up to hot 50C. The M3 eTicket can handle drops from 1.5m to concrete across vast temperature ranges, reducing equipment and maintenance costs.

This small and lightweight mobile computer features many advanced data capture options. The built in smart card reader supports various ISO14443 type A/B RFID devices, including the entire MIFARE® family. The contactless electronic link between the card and the reader allows for a very fast interface that is needed in security and payment systems i.e Automatic Fare Collection systems (AFC) within public transport. The M3 eTicket also comes with integrated Bluetooth, 802.11b/g wireless, and Camera and GSM/EDGE, which offers flexible voice and data communication. An option of integrated high quality laser scanner provides easy reading of all common barcodes.

The M3 eTicket runs on user-friendly Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system with a powerful Intel X-scale PXA 270 520MHz processor, a 128MB SDRAM and a 64 MB Flash storage, expandable to 256 MB. The integrated Mini-SD (Security Digital) slot enables extra storage.

The colour display is a touch screen and the ergonomic keypad is easy to use in tough environments, even with only one hand. To enhance the mobility, M3 eTicket provides a hot swappable slim battery. A table cradle charges the M3 eTicket plus extra battery and can also communicate with other devices through USB.
