The camera features a built-in web interface, which makes access to pictures and camera settings possible over the internet. The dome camera is equipped with the future internet protocol IPv6, which makes it a safe long-term investment. It is not only the modern compression format MPEG4 that is convincing with this camera, IPsec support ensures that data packaged over IPv4 or IPv6 are protected against modification or espionage.
With an SD card and depending on its size, the camera can record data up to several months in offline mode. Recording can also be linked to alarm events. If the integrated motion detector registers unusual activities, the recording starts. What kinds of motions trigger the alarm can be predefined with the configuration software. For instance, administrators can mark specific areas that trigger recording events. In the case of an alarm, the BB-HCM580CE/581CE sends an alarm email with an attached picture. At the same time, it saves all pictures in the buffer memory to an FTP or HTTP server. The alarm event can also be activated over the alarm sensor output. Furthermore, this camera is equipped with a 2-way radio-style intercom.
The BB-HCM581CE uses Power over Ethernet as power supply or the optional Panasonic BB-HCA3CE AC adaptor. The BB-HCM580CE is supplied with a standard AC adaptor.
The optionally available software BB-HNP15CE offers even more detailed and comfortable surveillance functions. | | |
